Use your brain for presenting!

Presentation Zen, my favorite site when it comes to improving my presentation skills, published a nice review of Dr. John Medinas book "brain rules":

Then I read the book, and was blown away. In a way, we already know the rules put forth by Dr. Medina in his book, such as vision is the dominant sense (rule#10). We certainly know the power of the visual — a picture is worth a thousand words, etc. — yet we fail to take advantage of this properly in the area of presentation design, web design, document design, and so on. We all know that people don’t pay attention to boring things (rule #4), yet the majority of presentations on this planet are less than compelling (to say the least).

The post also included a slide set with teasers on the topic of the book:

From what I’ve read this book is a must read for people who present in front of others. I’ll definitely get it. Read the entire article here.
